Service & MOT For Any Make Or Model

We hope you are delighted with the service you receive from our staff and facilities. If that is the case then please remember that we can do routine service, MOT and repair work for any make or model of car.

While it might be something unusual like Mr Ian Lynam’s 1901 Sunbeam Mabley which we recently MOTed, it could be any of your family’s vehicles.

So if you have another car in your household that wasn’t supplied by us, or is not a car manufactured by one of the brands that we represent, we would be happy to maintain it with the same level of care and dedication.

Designed for Sunbeam by Maxwell Maberley Smith, it is remarkable for having its wheels laid out in a diamond formation. This unconventional design was intended to prevent the car from skidding.

It is powered by a single cylinder 2¾ hp De Dion engine, and the cylinder head is water cooled, while the block is air cooled. Power is delivered to the middle two wheels via a belt and two gears, while the front and rear wheels are for steering. If that wasn’t unusual enough the driver sits in the back, steers by means of a tiller!

The Mabley sold for £130 when it first went on sale and approximately 130 were built.
